Helen Burke, 89

Helen Marie Burke of Youngtown passed away on Monday, March 1, 2010. One of twelve children she was born on December 2, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois to the late James and Helen(Gunty) Clark. Helen was predeceased by her husband, John Burke in 1974. For 20 years she was a bookkeeper with the Diocese of Phoenix retiring in 1984. She is survived by her daughter Helen (Brian) Wetzel, three sisters: Bea (Bud) Kane, Sr. Maryann Clark, OSF and Rita (John) Ferguson. Also surviving are eight grandchildren: Jeff, Jack, Adam, Katie, Ben, Stacie, Jamie, Alexandra and four great grandchildren: Connor, Charlotte, Makenna and Lila. In addition to her parents and husband Helen was predeceased by two sons: John J. Burke, Jr. and Thomas Burke. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Church of St. Thomas More, 6180 W Utopia Road, Glendale from 6-8PM with a Rosary at 7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 10AM. Entombment will follow in St. Francis Cemetery & Mausoleum.
